DR. MICHAEL LOMONACO, DNP

 Dr. Lomonaco started his healthcare career in the military in 1992 where he served in the US Army as a trauma paramedic. Dr. Lomonaco served his country and continued advancing his academic career in the US Army by working towards his Nursing BSN and MSN and eventually being rewarded with a Doctoral in Family Practice from The University of South Florida.  

Dr. Lomonaco was Honorably Discharged in 2004 from the US Army and went to work for Duke University Medical Center in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Units. After spending three years at one of the most prestigious healthcare facilities in the world and meeting the Love of his Life, Dr. Lomonaco moved to Florida to start a family...a very large family.   

 Dr. Lomonaco observed a multitude of healthcare issues during his career in healthcare. The healthcare system was infected with inefficiency, unreliability, unavailability and poor quality healthcare when it was presented. Patients were quickly displaced as the center of the wheel and appeared less important to the healthcare system over revenue and profit. Money became the bottom line and patient care took a back seat and a step backwards.    

 Dr. Lomonaco had a vision to help patients and families while providing an increased access to efficient and affordable healthcare. To make this dream a reality, he would once again need to further his academic education to make a change as an independent healthcare provider, distancing himself from the broken down system.  

 Dr. Lomonaco is a Doctoral Graduate from The University of South Florida. Dr. Lomonaco has extensive experience in Family Medicine and Pain Management and works for two private practices currently. Dr. Lomonaco has also been active in research as he was published in the Journal of Pain Medicine and is also an Associate Professor at The University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
